I am doing the Happy Dance!!! We got letters today!! He sent four days in one envelope and it has made the day brighter!!! He seems to be doing good, likes the marches and says they have cool cadences. The food is good and there are a total of 87 guys in his division. He doesn't think there is anyone else in his group from Michigan. His bunkmate is from CT. He didn't give a first name, so don't know who it is. Another guy he talks to is from TX.. and they will have baseball in common as well as A&M. Diego would have loved to go there, he was accpeted at Auburn University and that was his first choice. He went Navy instead. So, over all he sounds good and getting through things. They really had a bad beat down last Friday and that upset me, but they all got through it. He said it got old fast and that sounds like my boy! So........all is good today. My heart is singing and a smile will be there for sure. Our other two will love to read his letters and they will sit and write him back. He asked for a photo of the dog, he loves her. Nikko is a 7 yr. old Golden Retriever and his buddy! Hope you got your letters today too!!!

Missheparin, we are small but mighty! (Ship 11 Div. 370) I heard from my SR today, very businesslike call to find out some medical history info, but still his voice. Said the REAL call would be next week! Now my imagination is working overtime re: his past history of chest surgery for sunken chest in 8th grade. Gotta stay calm....

Our division is small also and I had to ask my recruit if there were any other females there because I have the only female in our division..so there are a lot of Moms who don't know about this website. I still call my daughter's recruiter every now and then and thank her for telling me about this website...lol. Have a great day everyone!

Hello Ladies, sorry I haven't been very active lately; finishing up a semester at school. Anyway, I recieved 2 phone calls from my SR on Tuesday morning which was awesome considering I recieved 3 letters from him telling me he was sick and had to have 2 of his wisdom teeth pulled as well the previous week. He says everyone is sick. So it was amazing to hear his voice, he sounded sick but assured me he was fine and pushing through it. Glad to hear some ladies are receiving phone calls and letters are starting to come in on a regular basis- I believe we've made it past the hard part and it's all downhill from here :) Can't wait to meet you ladies, this site has been a Godsend.

You are right lynn- I just don't think I could survive boot camp without this site. I think that the form letter should have this web site listed as a suggestion for parents to go to for information. :-)
