When I think about it and actually do the math it does make some sense that some of our DIVs are so small. There are only 72 members of this discussion group and (if I am correct) each DIV is 88 SRs. So that means LOTS of Moms don't know about this site.

LynnO, don't feel bad my group has a grand total of 3! LOL You're funny I've been wondering where all the moms are from my division? We should start a group for orphaned moms! LOL You're not alone. :D

I know you all have a lot of questions about terms they use and what happens at boot camp. I found a pretty good site with a lot of info and thought it would be helpful to you as well. http://www.navy-info.com/boot_camp_vocabulary.html

My son left for GL on 9/14 and I didn't get the form letter until last Friday. JessicaB said they don't get to send the letters until they division up so that's what caused the delay. It's too bad you don't have many more mom's in your group - I think there are 5 in mine. I think there are just so many mom's out there that haven't been blessed with finding this site! You are always welcome to come on over and chat with us at 2/952 any time!! We may not be in the same divisions but we are going through the same process.

The form letter did say PIR 11/12/10 and was mailed a week after my SR got to BC so their DIV must have been full by then. It just seems strange that there are so many Moms here from the same ship and I've only found 4 from my SRs DIV. So I was concerned the delay had changed the PIR date and I should be communicating with another PIR discussion group.

@LynnO - I think that since the PIR date has been posted on the Navy site for your Div 368 for 11/12 you are good to go. I'm not aware that they would change the entire division after it's been posted. Did you get your form letter? If so, what was the date shown there? My son is in 952 and faced the similar delays for processing and his letter showed the 11/12 date.

@Proudmom - Thanks!

I mean I started a discussion group under Boot Camp for Moms. I see that there are only 2 comments under the same discussion group here.... and one is mine! LOL

Looking for Moms from Ship 11 Div 368. I started a discussion group here and have only found 3 other Moms. One of the Moms got a call from her SR who told her that the SRs who went to BC the week of Sept 13-18 had a whole week of processing because their Div wasn't full. Does any know if that will delay PIR? Right now they are in PIR 11/12/10.

My call came in last night at 4:27 eastern time. He had called his girlfrind first. So that puts it after 3 pm their time. I was so excited to hear from him. He sounded so good. CAnt wait for graduation, but sounded great..

@Mom from St. Pete - When I did get that quick "need information" call on Friday last week, my son said it would be a couple of weeks before he would be able to call again. So hopefully you're right and we'll get calls, but I'm with you as long as I keep getting the letters showing his positive state of mind I'm good!
