Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

WooHoo for the phone calls these past few days. How awesome is that. We are waiting patiently on this end to hear from our son, Kyle!! It is good that he doesn't need more info, yet sure wish he could call!! I will also ask him who isn't getting mail or low mail and we can send some to keep them all going as a group! Great idea and count us in!!

I was thinking the same thing Kgswife..LOL. Found a beautiful, amazing "You are a Hero" card at the store last night, can't wait to send to another recruit.

Welcome everyone! I am going to go out onto our work bulletin board and ask if people are interested in supporting our recruits that do not receive mail, or receive very little mail. I will also ask my son...whenever I hear from him :-) which recruits need a boost...together we will get these kids through this!

I too am smiling Navymom! Just got off the phone with my son. This is the first time I've heard from him since he left and he sounded AWESOME. He also needed information for his paperwork. Wow, what a way to start the weekend. ALL SMILES HERE!!!!

Good Morning All!! I am all smile again today got another phone call last night he needed more information for paperwork and I will be getting another call today because I need some time to get the information.
