My son's Ship date was 9/15 and his PIR is 11/12/10. Anyone else with a son on Ship11Div365? Haven't gotten any calls or letters yet, still waiting!

Does that mean it will be a lot less recruits graduating since there are only 7 divisions? We still need to get another ticket, maybe if there are less recruits she can get in on standby.

just also to give ya a hint, they letters will be about 2 1/2 weeks behind, theirs will get to you so much faster though, if mailed on Sunday by Thursday at the latest. Mine always showed up on Tuesday or Wednesday. It is amazing to think about how much mail must go into the GL post office!!

Hi ladies...congrats to everyone who received phone calls and letters! That is so wonderful! Still on the lookout for my "form letter". Ship 11 Div 367, at least have that...so letters from home are on their way! Cheerleading practice begins!

I just booked my hotel, flight and car reservations today. For those who are flying, check out going into Midway instead of O'Hare if you don't mind about 25 extra miles of driving. I was able to shave over $150 off the cost of my trip by doing that. It was well worth the price - in fact that will pay for the picture package!

@megan, sorry for the one liner. That must have been hard. Hoping he writes longer letters.

@Mom From St. Pete, glad you got to hear his voice, how cool! We always reminded our son that he wouldn't get any of our letters for three weeks. Hoping they will be able to call us at that point too. Praying!

Yea for you Mom from St Pete!!! So glad you got to hear his voice.

On another note, I will be flying from Sarasota for PIR, and wanted to let you know Airtran is running a special right now for flights from Sarasota to Chicago Midway - I can get two round trip tickets for under $400. Don't know if it's worth it for you or not, but wanted to share! Midway is about 50 miles from the hotel where O'Hare is about 25...

I only got the couple of lines at the bottom of the Graduation package. Yes he did say it sucks! But I know it will get better for him and all the rest of them. Yesterday I got to talk to him for a few seconds about infor only. Said he did not know when he could call us and that he loved me & bye. Was wonderful just to hear his voice....
