coltons mom, from my understanding, they won't get to make phone calls until this afternoon. It is just a waiting game for us now.

savannah- that sounds like me...i too went to bed at 12:30 and woke up at 5:30...this is so nerve racking, plus the time change...does anyone know when they get to start makng calls?

I am not 100% sure, but according to my daughter, if you are in THU, they have computers right there, as well as the phones. Computer are I think 7.00 for an hour and I do think she said they take money as well as debit. This would eliminate any theft. She said she never saw anything like that. She was pretty much all over the base and things went great for her. So yes moms they can as I said yesterday, have internet, call home and if they are in THU I think they may be able to have cell phone and lap top, I know Kayla had both. We had purchased the lap top while there and she bought a cell to get in touch with us until she got hers.

I have not been this nervous since I went through bootcamp myself. I am driving myself crazy with my son going through BS right now. Did not sleep well at all. I am just praying that I get that phone call today with him telling me, "Mom, I did it. I'm a SAILOR". then everything we have gone through will have been worth it. I am so proud of my son.

Congrats to 367 &368 on becoming a Sailor!!!! HOOYAH!!!!
Had my blue candle on all night and is still shining for 952, 369, & 370. I can't wait for my call too!
Kgswife I agree we should all try and stay in touch after all we have been through! Have a safe trip..... I am not leaving till tomorrow around 3pm. I may not make it to the M&G or I may be later on just depends on traffic coming from the air port to hotels.... Have to work to day that will be hard. Am saying a prayer for all the soon to be Sailors......

colton's mom, I woke up at 5:45 a.m., after going to bed near midnight. Praying for God's grace to carry them through the last couple of hours.

This is it!!!! The last three divisions are finishing up BS21 as I type and soon everyone waiting will get the good news that their SR is now a SAILOR!!! I am wearing my blue pin today in honor of all of their accomplishments!! What a crazy ride this has been for everyone involved....

Note to the 369,370 and 952 moms (that's me too) remember to ask your SAILOR if all passed when you talk with yours..... Off to work now!
