Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

yes they can have internet usage it does cost them like 7 bucks an hour. I am not sure if they will be in THU or not, but the Nex I have been told has the computers also. THU for sure has them.

Depends on when they leave and what they have been told, my daughter was able to have her phone and she had 3 girls that had PIR'd the Friday before that also had their cells. Kayla had her lap top. Kept the THU Sailors in music for the next few days... lol it just all depends on where they will be and for how long.

CONGRATULATIONS to 367 & 368!! Way to GO!!

Now prayers for 369, 370 and 952 tonight! Candle will be lit and prayers will be said! Our calls will come in about 24 hours, can't wait. We are so excited in this house!! Will be packing and ready to blast from Michigan on Thursday morning, so ready to see Diego and have him see us! Thanks all, this has been an awesome group and time together................

savannahgirl: Just saw Lynne's post that you were responding too. She was talking about storing things for those staying on in GL for A School. The locker situation would not apply to those who are flying out.
