What time does liberty start for Saturday and Sunday? I know what time it expires but not what time it starts

Well we left at 6:15 and there was definitely a line...but if we had stayed in the middle lane...lol I think we would have driven right in...lol

Thanks for your message Lynne! I bet its going to be hard to say goodbye to my sailor husband on Sunday. Just thinking about it makes me sad. I don't want to think about that just yet. Thanks again for your advice and I will definitely be staying in the middle lane. How early can you arrive at RTC? I know they open up at 6 am, so is there a line of cars earlier than that? Just wondering.

@ Lynne You made me cry ! No sleep and waiting on pins and needles for my phone call has made me weepy, and the fact that I think I decided to stay at GL and never go home..... Great advice tho thanks

Holy toledo it is your PIR week...batten down the hatches...and get ready for the best week of your life since childbirth...lol!! I herby pass the torch to you to have fun, fun, fun....for those of you in the 900 division...check out the 12/05/2010 graduation tab under photos...you might find one of your child there...

Here are my tips for graduation...I hope you read the one about staying in the middle lane...it will get you there an hour faster I promise...lol The people who check IDs and stuff are very nice...but remember if you have children under driving age you need a birth certificate or social security number....I can't tell you the number of folks who forgot this...so be prepared...the NEX is wild after PIR...it is open all weekend so if you can put off a visit there do so...don't miss picking up your sailor in the morning at the chapel...as you leave on Friday have them point it out so you know where you are going in the morning..arrive a little early...seeing all those sailors marching to the chapel for liberty...wow...can't say anymore than that...

You guys are about to go on an incredible journey...words can not describe it...but be a little prepared. I wish someone had told me what Sunday would feel like. Saying goodbye for boot camp was hard, saying good bye now was much harder. I said goodbye to a man...a young man who I knew was now making his own way into the world...one I knew had grown immensely...but one who when I took out my credit card to buy him an outfit at Nike town looked at me and said "i got it mom", one who bought ME dinner, and a young for whom people clapped and asked permission to shake his hand and thanked him for his service and he replied "it's my pleasure"....it was the best of times...and it was the saddest of time...my son is a man and guess what...this mom was not quite ready....so steel yourselves...be Navy strong...you will be so very proud...but saying goodbye...sucks!!! LOL

This site has gone crazy and I love it!!! I haven't been on as much lately - dealing with an injured hubby and taking him to and from airports the past few days as been quite taxing! Doesn't he know the stress us mom's are under this week!

Anyway, WELCOME to all the new moms, girlfriends, wives, etc who have recently found us!

Brenda - because the graduating group is so small, it is my guess that all the "extras" will be able to attend.
