That you all for the support you have given me this past year. I couldn't have done it without my navy mom friends. Our sailor is home on leave :) and then heading to Gulfport for a few weeks before reporting to Little Creek and Rivron2. In some regards the year seems like an eternity and in others like a blink of the eye. God bless you and your sailors.

My son finally got his orders. He will be a Riverine in Rivron 2 in Little Creek. He is very happy. Hopefully will be out of GL soon. Hope all is well with you.

So when will he finish C school? Where was that on his wish list? I am glad you will get some time with him before he leaves.

The Keel arrived here as well. I wasn't as patient or nice as RE. I opened it. My daughter and I looked at it for quite some time. It was great to see the pictures of the things we were hearing about but never saw. I loved it. My sailor wasn't going to buy it but I insisted. Even if he doesnt' appreciate it now he will some day.

We took our sailor back to GL. We got there and their were sailors everywhere loaded down with seabags and luggage. He checked in to his ship and they let him come and sleep at the navy lodge with us. It was nice to have one more night. Today we took him and a good friend that just had his PIR on Friday out to breakfast and headed home. I hated to let go. Darn it.

Just wanted to let you all know we received the DVD from PIR today. Of course, I haven't had time to watch it. Hope you all have a restful, blessed Christmas. Love to all of you.

I think you all are talking about two different things. One is his rate and one is his rank. SR-Seaman Recruit SA-Seaman Apprentice S-Seaman are all ranks. The others are thier rate. My son is still a SR. Who knows. My son said I don't even have to put his name on the box, the address is enough. One of the number on the address identifies what room and bed he is in.

Marie, good to hear she is with someone she knows. Can you repost the information about the boxes from usps? Or send it to me personally if you don't mind. Thanks. Hang in there. Where is her A school?

He moved across the street. Called to give us his new address and asked for us to send his cell phone. Sounded very happy and full of life. Said he would call back tomorrow night. I think I am going to like this after BC life. :)
