OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Counting down!!

Me too! :)

Got a letter yesterday from my son (Div 004)...he said they were going to BS either last night or tonight :) Said we could expect that "I'm a Sailor!!" call today or tomorrow!!! Wooo Hooo!!

Is anyone still writing on here? I am noticing that the last posts are older...  :(

Last night was battlestations for div 001,002,003,004 call this afternoon

Yes, it would have been last night.  They don't do BattleStations on Fri or Sat nights.  Just Sun-Thurs nights.

If someone doesn't get a call, it is probably because they had "watch" and they will call later or over the weekend.  Be sure to be checking their FB's too because some get on the computers while they are waiting for the phones.  Calls don't usually start before 2 pm GL time and many times start later than that.

Sooooo excited!!!!
Bouncing up and down with excitement. Hurry up Navy!!

Glued to my phone! lol!

Just got the call ladies!!! HooYah! Ship 14 Div 001!
