OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

I got a letter from my daughter saying they were changing ships on the 27th of October. Anyone else know anything about this?

What ship was she in before?

My daughter stated the same thing. She went from ship 9 USS JFK to ship 14 USS Arizona. She didn't give any reason as to why they moved.
Yes that's the same as mine. She was ship 9. Now 14. Does that mean her address changes?
Beccazay, maybe our daughters know eachother.
Yes, my daughter gave me à new address. Ship 14 USS Arizona 3410 Sailor Dr Great Lakes IL 60088-3510

This seems to be happening frequently right now. It appears they are trying to consolidate the SRs into fewer ships as the holiday stand down is creeping up.

What division are your daughters in so that we can follow and make the changes to the PIR group, and yes the address will change to

SR Last name, First name, MI

Ship 14 Div XXX

3410 Sailor Drive
Great Lakes, IL
60088-3510

Please continue this discussion in the division discussion for your SRs. No worries, this discussion just becomes a second discussion group for your SRs, and things can get lost. Everything and everyone is important, we don't want to lose or miss something.
