My son is in Div 1!

What ship?

Ship 11!!!  I am so excited for my son and can't wait to hear all about his adventures
Yay! I can't believe I've found another mom in the same ship and division! Have you gotten your first letter yet? I mean besides the form letter. My son sent one, got it on wednesday. He sounded in good spirits, but he knows I worry so we'll see how the next letter is.
My son left from his Dad's house so he sends his mail there (he lives in another state).  I only hear when his dad emails it to me so I am still waiting.  I sent a form letter hoping he will mail it ASAP.  I was worried there would not be mom's from his ship/division also.  I am learning a lot from this site and time is sure flying by quickly.
Did you send the form letter to his Dad or to your SR? My husband is a Navy veteran so I kind of know how it works, but feels a whole lot different when it's your child that is in boot camp! Hopefully once you send mail to your son he will send mail back directly to you and you won't have to wait for it to be emailed. Most of the recruits get a phone call around the 3 week mark so I'm hoping that will be this week. Hang in there, though. I wish time were flying by for me, but it seems to be dragging. :(
Hey guys! My boyfriend is on this ship and in this division, and I just got a call from him! They're apparently doing REALLY GOOD, and they don't do much IT. Their letters should send out Tues. :)
I got a call from my son today too! Was able to talk about 30 min. He sounded great, which eased my mind a lot. I figured mail may go out tuesday because of the holiday tomorrow, and he said he had gotten three of my letters so it seems like mail is moving smoothly. Thank you for leaving a note, and if you don't mind keep us updated!

My son is also in Ship 11 Div 001... PIR cannot get here soon enough! I am ready to see my sailor!

Got my first phone call from him last night...=)

My son is nuke also! When you say he called last night, was it in the evening or at night time? I always worry about that, if they would be given odd times to call. My son's call was in the afternoon. Looks like the division is doing great though!

my last call was at 10:30pm and apparently he said he just came off "watch" that is why his call came so late. He said that with his ship staff job and watch he misses out on phone calls... but they are doing great! Will not be much longer now!

Beth

I got a letter from my SR today, but no phone calls in a couple of weeks. He said this week was going to be crazy busy...but now they seem to have an extra opportunity to write, so thats good, but not as great as a phone call would be!
