Hoping to connect with others who have SR's in Ship 11, Div 001. So excited to see new members coming in and our discussions unfold!

Yeah, I think their whole div is nukes (for the most part anyway). (PS: nukes are da BOMB! get it? Hahahhahahahahahahahaha. Sorry, it's 7 am and I haven't had my coffee yet :P)

I think what I'm gonna do instead, in that case, is fly down to South Carolina for a weekend and I'll have his sister bring him all his stuff to PIR :)

You're funny! Pretty good without coffee even. My SR is ET, what is yours? Visiting him in SC might be kinda tricky...not sure how that works if they can have liberty like it would be on a regular base? Let me know what you find out because I'd like to visit mine for Thanksgiving if I could.

Thanks! Hahaha. I'm actually not sure what he's gonna do. I'm assuming ET though. But yeah, I'm gonna ask him in today's letter about all that. I was pretty bummed that I didn't get a letter today, though. Today's my letter day. :( Hoping I get one tomorrow.

I'll let you know the details, though. I was thinking if he gets shipped off early in the morning, maybe he'll get liberty for that weekend before A School starts so I could stay with him the weekend of the 18th.

Yeah, thats what I was wondering about. I'm not sure I'd take the chance of meeting him is SC the first weekend until he finds out about his liberty schedule because he could end up with watch or something.
My son is going to Corpsman A school. Any other Corpsman in this Div?

No letter today :( But I figured I'd update anyway, my best friend and I are making shirts this weekend since this coming week is Battlestations and then the week after is the Captain's Cup!! (They're good friends now thanks to me LOL) The shirts are gonna be written in dark and light blue puffy paint, and it's gonna say "U.S Navy RTC

Ship 11/Division 001

PIR 11/18/11" and on the back it'll say "I love SR _________ <3"

I'll take pics when they're done! :) I'll make you guys some if you want, too. No charge of course! It's really high school-ish but I'm a Freshman in college, give me a break! Hahaha :)

That sounds like a lot of fun! Please take pics and post them for us. I tried to figure out when Battlestations was according to what he said, but was afraid really to say much about it here. You never know what they get picked on for! I'd forgotten about Captain's Cup though, that should be a lot of fun for them. I figured that they really only have one more training week left since they were the first division to form they'd be the first to go through Battlestations. I haven't had a phone call in about 3 weeks...has it been the same for you?
Oh yeah, I'm always scared that I say too much. :( But yeah, I haven't gotten a phone call in about that time. My first call came on our 2 month anniversary (our 3 month anniversary is Sunday) and the second came the 13th. :/
also, friendly reminder! keep your phones ALWAYS near you these next two weeks, AND ON LOUD WHEN YOU GO TO BED! i looked on the RTC facebook page and it looks like the last SRs (now Sailors!) who passed Battlestations called around 11:30 PM EST. so keep that in mind :)
Thanks for the heads up! I do keep my cell phone with me at all times and I just recently learned how to do call forwarding! I've had that feature on my home phone forever just never really had a use for it. Now I don't worry about leaving the house and being afraid I'll miss his call. He did say in his last letter that he didn't expect to get any more calls other than after battlestations. My SR did say the date it was going to be...or at least the week and day. Did you SR say when? If you want to know what mine said, I'll send it privately.

Yeah, my phone's never less than 5 feet away from me at all times now. :) It's become second nature to violently spring when I feel it vibrate. Hahaha.

My SR told me when he was pretty sure it would be. But maybe yours heard something different, so if you could let me know what your SR said that'd be great!

Apparently I'm completely technologically challenged cause I can't figure out how to send you a private message. lol

If you can figure it out, send me one and I'll tell you what he told me about Battlestations. Thanks!
