Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmust importance. Please take the time to read the Opsec and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names are never allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but discouraged as their RDC's read this site and can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Comment by WandaG on November 20, 2011 at 12:31am: Well I said put my daughter in the cab with Sarge@ 9:15pm this evening. She was heading back to her new ship. She will be staying@Great Lakes for A-school. We're blessed to spend time with her Friday around 3:30pm till 8pm and today from 9:30am till 9pm. Although we didn't get to do too much because she is sick with a cold+needed rest. So she got into my husband's PJ's and slept for most of the time. She loved our bed. She loved the pillows+the comforter. I bought her stuff@Walmart that she requested including a soft fleecy blanket so she can sleep good tonight.

PIR was beautiful. It was a wonderful experience. I've never witnessed anything like it. It was wonderful seeing the change in my daughter. I love the fact that she hangs up her clothes now. She told me she doesn't think she can go back to her old ways. She looks so beautiful in her uniform. I am so proud of her!

Congrats to everyone+ their sailors! It was wonderful meeting some of the mom's in person.
