Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmust importance. Please take the time to read the Opsec and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names are never allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but discouraged as their RDC's read this site and can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Comment by WandaG on November 17, 2011 at 6:27pm: It's nice to see the messages coming thru as the moms arrive :o) we are just relaxing in our room now in Springhill Suites. This is a very nice location; walking distance to all the stores especially Walmart+ the Sundance Saloon for the Meet+Greet tonight. The room is very nice. It reminds me a little of the Hyatt in Mystic, CT. I am very pleased with my choice. I hope everyone makes it to Sarge's Meet+Greet tonight. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone. FYI, a great place to have breakfast+lunch is Wildberries. It's a beauiful establishment, nice environment, great service, great menu selection+ best of all reasonable prices. The average plate is less than $10. It's located in Libertyville.

His code name for Navy for Moms is "Old Sarge". Remember to attend the Meet+Greet tonight at Sundance Saloon. I hope to see u all there!

I'll be the one with the droopy eyes tomorrow am. Kids had school so no chance in leaving earlier. See you all in the am. I wish we could have made the M&G. Have fun all!

Comment by Gette on November 17, 2011 at 2:55pm: Got in to Great Lakes about 9:30 am, left TN last night at 6 pm. Not to bad a trip till Chicago, gotta find a different way to O'Hare and home. I do not want to drive through Chicago again, unless it is way before 6 a.m.

Navy Lodge is quite nice, but had to pay to get internet in the room - boo. Have homework to get sent in this afternoon so had to get it. Oh well.

I will see those of you in town this evening at M&G, everyone else - see you in the morning.
