For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Suebal - I agree with that when my daughter called I lost it. Could not even talk for a bit. My husband spoke with her while I got myself together. And for those that have to stay another week or two they'll make it don't give up.

My husband said the same Sonya. But I'm so thankful we get to see most everyone Friday. My son, Father-In-Law and I will be flying there first thing in the morning.

Suebal...I'd have to say we all hoped and were about 99% sure they'd get thru this first try. Unfortunately, I learned that at least one person did not pass the PFA & will be at RTC for another 2 weeks to try, then PIR with another division. I didn't get a name (& wouldn't share it here anyway). But, we must all be thankful that we did get the I'm a Sailor call.

I second that Suebal. We should definitely be proud of ourselves. :o) Is everyone all packed and ready to go? I'm organizing my itinerary, my money and stuff. Doing last minute google searches. Camera battery all powered up. I charged up my sailor's cell phone and had it activated. I also have her laptop that she requested. I think I got it all covered. :o) The weather looks like it's going to be sucky but I guess we'll have to make the best of it.

I was thinking last night--yes, thinking is a rather dangerous thing for me! We all know/knew deep in our hearts that our loved ones were going to make it through all of this and become sailors. But it really took the confirmation of that "I'm a sailor" phone call for our hearts to sing, for us to REALLY REALLY REALLY fly! Congratulations to everyone! I'm proud of all of us! We made it! :)
