Good morning everyone

I don't know why but I had a hard time getting back to the page here (not me, my computer) :)  I, like so many others, am having a hard time with the fact that I don't know if my son has gotten any of my letters or not. Not getting any answers from USNRTC. My son is also my only and we're very close. To not be able to talk to him is killing me. Saturday was a bad day, yesterday was a wee bit better. Today, I've been busy with work so it helped--a little.

My daughter will  PIR on Nov. 18th also. but no phone call no letter. I am so bummed right now.

I am better today.  I needed to sleep on it.  My boy is my oldest and the first to leave home.  He is a self proclaimed momma's boy and we talked all the time.  This separation is hard but, I raised him to be a good young man.  I just miss him.  Gette, no calls for me since 9/20 either and I have to keep reminding myself that this is temporary.  It did not feel like that yesterday but I'm better for right now.  Hang in there Gette.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you Gette. Have you gotten a letter from her yet? My SR isn't in the same division, but mail seems to be going smoothly.
Comment by Gette on October 10, 2011 at 9:20am

Those of you that have gotten even short calls are lucky.  I haven't been able to talk to my girl since 9/20 when she got there.  Bummed is a good word for how I have been feeling.

Good morning, everyone!  Hoping your SRs are having a nice relaxing day since this is a holiday.  Maybe more letters written?  We can only hope!

My family was the same way, I cried all the time and Phil would just look at me and say She's fine, the kids would just smile and nod their head. They definitely did not have as hard a time with it as I did. This site is a life saver. At least everyone here understands how you feel. So vent away, we don't mind a bit :-)

Absolutely carrie! Vent and dump all you need to! Or better yet take that energy and write to your SR. I know that always makes me feel better at least and they seem to be getting mail now. My SR said he got 3 of my letters on Monday and it means the world to them.
Comment by carrie_j00 on October 9, 2011 at 11:10pm

Yea.  I'm sure they will call when they can.  And, I'm sure it's harder for them than us, no question about it.  For me, most days are ok.  Not today. I thought that's why I was on this site....so I can vent and dump when I need to.

Thanks pb2011, I know....or, at least my head knows that.
