Wow, you guys are getting set.  I know 11 hours is a long time but I'm driving up.  I will have at least one other person with me to help drive, possibly two.  I like the idea of not having to rely on others to get me where I need to go, but that is how my mom raised me and I have done so with both of my girls.  Besides trying to pay for 6 flights out of TN is more than I can handle.  I will be looking into rooms and the Spring Hills sounds good Wanda, I will have to see about there myself.

I hope you all have a great day and that we will get to meet soon.

joan - closest thing I have heard being comparable to SW no fee for changes is some kind of business class on Airtran - but the price difference seemed higher than a change fee to me.  (It did include other benefits though, such as first 2 bags, drinks on plane, extra miles, etc)

That's awesome Joan46!!! I'm so glad :o)

Lala Ribbon Queen, I'm located on the east coast as well and I can't believe you're getting snow flurries. That's crazy!

With regards to transportation, I plan to call Sarge's Taxi and get his rates. I just found out that someone paid $48 from O'Hare to Waukegan. That's worth investigating. I hear nothing but good things about him.

Southwest is the only one I have heard of who does that. But if you have to book with a different airline it is usually cheaper to pay a change fee and different price in tickets that to pay the extra for refundable tickets. They can be very expensive.

Can you guys believe that we are getting snow flurries right now in NC??? It is crazy. Flurries on Thanksgiving yes but on Oct 1st? unheard of!!!

Joan46- I cannot answer that. According to Southwest they say they are the only major airline that does this. I don't know if that is a true statement.

 I'm so happy for FLbradybunch!

Well I booked a room at the SpringHill Suites Marriott in Waukegan for $80 per night. This includes 2 Queen beds, a pull out sofa, fridge and microwave. The room sleeps up to 6. You can get a king instead of 2 Queens. Also breakfast buffet is free and all for $80 per night. Normally it's $89 but I got a AAA discount. I also booked my flight on Southwest. We're coming into Midway. I was going to do Milwaukee but it was $200 cheaper coming in to Midway and it's direct. I already have a shuttle service lined up to pick us up. If changes occur I confirmed that SouthWest does not charge a change fee. My mom is very excited about this trip; can't wait! :o)

Great news flbradybunch. I am happy for the other moms that have heard from their SRs too.

I keep hoping for a call, even if I am in class or at work I will answer.  Lucky I have a job where I can take personal calls.  School is another matter but I have already talked to my teacher and told him where Caitlin is, he understands.

I was panicking earlier today that I would get my next call on a particular day that I calcuated would be during his week 3 when I will be in court and not be accessible.  God heard me and made sure I got a very special surprise today!  Thanks to all of you who have been supportive through this rough week!
