For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

RCPO - Recruit Chief Petty Officer...think head honcho of the recruits. Here is a link to RTC website that explains the position...you can also look up the other RPO positions under "Recruits" ; leadership.

Darn it Betsy - that would have been a nice meet up - especially with my SR just leaving last week. Thanks to the moms who told me where that PIR video is..... I just watch it with tears in my eyes when I am missing my baby boy.

flbradybunch, my sailor is still in Pensacola, but only for about 7 more weeks. He just graduated from his A school on Friday and is now doing his shipboard training there. Wish I had known you last week, we could have hung out. I just got back from there, since I went down for his graduation :)

Hi everyone! I am so excited! I got the form letter and my daughter's 1st letter!!! I was so nervous opening the letter. I wanted so bad to hear how she was doing. I was praying today at work that I would receive at least the form letter to conform that the address I received from the recruiter's was correct. And it is!!! :O) She mentioned that it's tough but it's also fun. She said their commander's are impressed with her group and so they expect more from them. Talk about pressure. Anyway she sounds good and wants to received lots and lots of letters. She said the letters help their morale.
So ladies lets keep those letters flowing!!!
Oh, and I found out she is an Alto in the choir. :o)
