Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 013 & 014!

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

K, thanks. She went in as undesignated airman E-3, supposed to do 1st class swim test for rescue diver at BC. We have received 3 letters and 3 phone calls but have not heard on the plan for A school yet...just trying to pre-plan travel arrangements for the holidays. I am a veteran armywife, familar with the military life...just not so much with the Navy yet :)

Has anyone had any good news come from Ship 014 Div 013/014?  It's been over 2 weeks since I have heard from my SR and things didn't sound great at that time.  We are so close to the end, hoping all is going well for them.

I am new here, I am a very involved aunt because my SR's mom passed away 3 years ago and my brother isn't really on the computer. So, I am my SR's biggest worrier and supporter! He is Ship 14 DIV 013, my mom received a letter yesterday, but it was about 2 weeks old. He was allowed to call home for 5 minutes Friday because we are on the East coast and got hit by Sandy. Other than that, nothing. It is so frustrating. I want  to hear how he is doing cuz it was definately all negative in my first letter. Hoping for a good outcome.

Hi GoNavy, my SR is on Ship 14 Div 14 and I have only received one phone call from him about 2 weeks ago but have received a few letters.  In his phone call he said that things were going well. He has said in his letters that his Div has had IT a few times because they all get along so well that they can't keep their lips from moving, but nothing really negative. I hope all is going well for all of them. I do stick with the no news is good news though. Have to keep positive thoughts or I would go crazy. We just need to think positive and have faith that all of our SR's on on track for PIR.

Same here.  My SR is also on Div 14-ship 14.  Last and only phone call was Oct 19.  I was pleased to hear all was going well. We're a little disappointed, thought I would hear from him at least once a week.

Several had head colds and no negative news to report.

Two more weeks to go !

My daughter is on ship 14 div 013, although I have only received one phone call from her, I have been getting regular mail every Wednesday.  She says she loves it,and she talks about some of the friends she has made.  It does  my heart good to hear her tell me that she is so happy that she made the choice to enlist.  As far as the not hearing from her, I just go with the saying "No news is good news"  Had to get used to that one from when my son was in Marine Boot Camp, he also just graduated last month.

Has anyone heard for sure what days they will have liberty?  I have heard that it may be just Weds and Thurs, but I also heard that they may get longer since it is a holiday weekend.

My daughter is on Ship 14, Div 13, and I have not heard anything since her first call a few weeks ago and letters a couple weeks ago. I am thinking that they are being kept too busy to have time for much. She said that they only had 6 hours of free time on sundays. I figure since other divisions are starting to get calls maybe we will be lucky and get one in the next few days. I even have my home# forwarded to my cell so I don't miss her call.

Ajrydson, my daughter is in your SR's division...our letter last week said that they don't have hardly any down time right now.  There was a new chief that wasn't really giving them the time to even write or something.  Our last call was around 10/19 and she said that her next and final call would be 11/19!! I will be shocked if we get a call before then...only 7 more days til then :)

Thanks for the update. My last letter was over a week ago and it was just the forms being sent home for safe keeping.

Good Look to everyone's SR tonight for Battlestations!!!!  Cant wait for the call tomorrow and PIR on Wed!!  Happy thanksgiving to all!!
