Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 011 and 012

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

So happy to hear that they all passed!! :)
Oh my yay!!! Now I'm really happy they passed. Thank you for sharing
Anyone get letters this week?
My SR started his by saying it would be short as they had entered h#ll week. Then described some of what that entails and gave info posted above about MS, and went on to say they were not given much time to write on Sunday, and he did not have much energy to write anyway. Maybe if you didn' t get a letter, your SR is feeling the same way? Hope you hear from him soon. Not hearing is the hardest part of this experience for me. Least I know he is still alive when I do,lol, even if the communication is so short I consider it more a memo than a letter. Still precious though

HI ALL! My boyfriend is in ship 14 DIV 012. His mom and I are coming from Idaho on the 20th at 4:15 into Chicago Midway.  I was wondering if anyone is flying into Midway, and what time? If anyone is, want to split a taxi? or could we catch a ride? (will pay you, just kinda broke) Whats everyones plans?

We are flying into Midway and land around 5 pm. We haven't rented a car yet but we were considering it. The fare using Sarge's taxi service is 150 RT but I haven't found out if that is per person or car load. That would make a world of difference. My husband and I are flying in possibly my son's girlfriend.

So glad they all passed! I got a letter dated Oct 26 and he mentioned a test and a few inspections they had to get through this week. I'm really started to get excited about seeing him soon.

Sorry, I am flying into Milwaukee,so opposite direction from you. Might be able to work it out by city bus/train if no other way. Maybe someone else knows? Good luck, hope you find the perfect solution
I haven't had a phone call since 10/16. My SR's birthday was 10/28. Purposely not disclosed prior due to what he had been told about the birthday "present" they receive in the form of IT if their bosses find out :) First one missed spending together-kind of a hard day. His last letters have been very brief also, but last one stated that they had been super busy, so I guess all I can do is look forward to "A" school, when contact will be easier.
Good morning! Who else in ship 14 is getting excited?? I know I am. Only 2 weeks and some odd days :)

Letter today from my SR. Said Div 11 earned drill flag and pennant for academic flag. Looked it up and still don't understand, but is a good thing!

Yay!!! :) I'm glad they are doing good!

My son is Ship 14 Div 11, anyone else have someone in that division?  I am curious if you have heard from your SR and if they have said how they are doing?  I am praying they are preparing for battle stations and "no news is good news" :)
