J Freshie...that is funny...good to get an idea of what is going on if only a few words. :) My son put "I Love You" in a random place on the form letter I received. Made my day, but no call to me either.
Since they send the kids the next day to their A school...I am not going to graduation, instead I will go to SC and hope to have more time with my sailor since it is Thanksgiving week.
YAY!!!!! I just booked the Navy Lodge and our flights!!! Oh I can't wait. Oh I'm so excited for you. For everyone who has heard from their SR, I know that I'll be hearing from mine soon. I can't wait, only 46 days! Ok,I have to stop with the exclamation points, it drives me nuts, I can only imagine what everyone else thinks LOL
jrk'smom Yes, Graduation is CONFIRMED on 11/21! Hallelujah, this was agonizing! LOL!
peejinator- They might know each other. Wouldn't that be awesome if they did???
Melissa- Our sons are in brother divisions!!! That's just absolutely awesome. Graduation is 11/21 right?? Oh I'm so happy for you!!!! YAY!!!!!
Finally Got the letter!!! Ship 12 Div 16
jrk'smom...my Sailor is going to South Carolina to nuke school. So if our Sailors are "brother divisions" does that mean they will know each other?
Hello everyone! My husband is currently at Great Lakes with a PIR date of 11/21/14. He is in Ship 03 Div 014. I got a call from him on Saturday and it made my day because I've been missing him so much. Anybody else have a spouse, son or SO in the same division?
peejinator: They usually take a while to class up depending on the school and course of study. In my son's case, he classed up about 10 days after arrival....your sailor will be in INDOC when he arrives at A School, which is an orientation that they have to go through any time they go to a new base. It takes several days or longer. So I would imagine that is what will be going on during Thanksgiving week.
Some sailors, like in Pensacola, may not class up for a much longer time than that.
