Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 015 and 016

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Thank you!

Hi All & Welcome!

My son is in Div 16 and I received a phone call from him on Saturday.  He sounded happy and told me he was with a good group of SR's. Sounds like things are going well and I couldn't be happier.  I am really looking forward to meeting other moms from this group.  We are all so lucky to have each other for support, encouragement and friendship.  Can't wait to meet you all at graduation!

Yes it is great. My son called me and my dad Saturday and he is loving it. My dad joked me about all the groups I'm talking to, but is glad this is out there, since his mom didn't have all this information when he went to boot camp in 1969. I feel very informed with all these people that know the ropes.

I think we may have missed our call on Saturday. There was a missed call and a message with nothing recorded. It was about the time that everyone else was getting them.  Not sure why he didn't call our cell phones.  That may be one thing to keep in mind. If your son had a cell phone with your numbers in it. He may only know your cell phone number as Mom cell or something like that and not know the actual number to call. We will be mailing him our cell phone numbers just in case.

Glad to see there is a group for Div 015/016.

Sorry about missing the call :(   Before my son left I realized that he didn't know any of our cell numbers, so I wrote them down and he put them in his wallet.  Hopefully, your son gets your letter with your numbers in it before his next call.  They should probably add that into "What to do before leaving for boot camp"  I bet a lot of SR's have the same problem.  For what its worth, my son seemed to be happy and he has been in the same group with your son everyday for the last two weeks.  I know you are disappointed but at least you need not to worry it sounds like its all good, :)

Good evening.  Thanks Ellen0502!  It is great to have a spot narrowed down a little bit!!  Sometimes I feel a little overwhelmed on here.  LOL!!  My son is in Div 015.  When I talked to him on Saturday he said his bunk mate is from VA.  Any of you VA Mom's have a bunk mate from IA?  Maybe us moms can connect.

Trying figure this site out. My son is from Va.

Maybe our sons are bunk mates!!  Are you going to PIR and the meet and greet? I see your son is going to Pennsacola too.  So is ours.  We are in Iowa.

I'm not sure about the meet and greet. Depends on when we arrive as we are driving. Definitely will be at Pir

In my last letter I asked my son to check on the pieces I know of you.  Ask your son too.  They will let us know if we are linked by them :) I got 2 letters today, Have you gotten any yet?

Not yet. But I had an issue with the address so he may not have gotten any I mailed. Hopefully I will get one soon.I will ask in my next letter!
Hi there! This is my first post! I have a daughter in 015 division...we missed her first phone call and apparently her first letter to us. We did receive what appears to be the 2nd letter she sent. Has your son told you or conformed that for sure we can bring four people to their graduation yet? And do you know if its too soon to book those tickets or not? I'm clueless., I'm up now early PRAYING we won't miss her call this morning. I'm Tracey in CA☺
