Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 019 and 020

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi ladies. We finally have our own group so we don't have to send group emails. Yay! I can't believe it seems we are the only ship that didn't get calls. My hope is that this is teaching the recruits to be tougher. LOL Thank you ladies for being a great support system!

Hello. I have a daughter in div 020. So much to take in here. I too was really hoping for a call. Looking for advice, encouragement, support etc...I need to make arrangements for PIR.

I'm not sure where you are flying from but Southwest does not charge change fees. We are flying into Midway and renting a car. We also made reservations at the Navy Lodge. They allow you to cancel by 6 pm on the same day.

I chose Southwest just for that reason as well. Just in case (: $100 more but may save me more if the dates change.

I booked my flight through cheap tickets. I got the refundable kind for an extra charge. I also searched around for neighboring airports and saved $200.00 per ticket by driving a little farther. I have not booked the hotel or rental car yet as I am trying to find out where he is going to A school. Not sure if that is helpful to you :-)

No call here yet, but I accomplished booking my trip. Flight, room and rental car....done.

My husband is in div 20. Looking forward to the first letter (real letter) home.

Thanks to everyone who posts on here, Lots of useful information.

Whoohoo Our own Group, Im sure Our Sons and Daughters are getting to know each other well so its nice that we get the chance also.... I too am staying at the Navy Lodge and also feel that our Division is the only one that didnt get to call Home.. I hope that doesnt mean things arent going well .... anixious anxious anxious to hear from my son as im sure all of you are

I think maybe they were one of the last groups formed so maybe they go in stages?

I am glad to see that we have our own little disscussion. I keep checking the Main chat room, but they all seem like seasoned bootcamp Mom's! I am hoping also ass omeone else said, that No news is good news! Hopefully we will receive our calls this week . I know Im frustrated that I havent heard anything! Just a quick 5 min call wouldmake  me feel better!!!

Could not agree with you more!!!  I have been writing letters like a mad woman and checking the mail DAILY! My son told me when he left he would be able to write home on Sundays.......I can't wait for his first letter.

Morning everyone!!

I hope you are all doing ok. I'll admit it ....I'm stressing out...I want my call!!! I'm sure our sons/daughters are doing just fine....but really as a mom I'd like to hear his voice. I was talking to a family friend who is military and said that if we are the only group to not get calls as it seems.... the call may have been taken away for whatever reason and that they will have to earn it back...IF and thats IF that is why we haven't gotten a call yet. Maybe we are just last on the list and the call are coming. Im hanging on to no news is good news for now!

And I too and glad we have our own little group. Its nice to be able to talk to other people who are going through the same things and can understand.

Hugs to us all....Have a great day!!!!! Looking forward to meeting all of you. Im so glad that my son has the opportunity to meet and get to know all of your children as well. I hope they are there for each other through this carzy journey!!

Hugs!!

Good  morning! I am also Kory's mom :) I cannot wait for our calls either, this is driving me crazy waiting! I just booked our room at the Navy Lodge, im just not sure how long to book it for?? I wish i knew how long they'd have with us.
