For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

well it's not my son.. he's my boyfriend, and he is adjusting but he said that he isn't a big fan of his division. he said that not many people cooperate well together..

I haven't heard any complaints from my son, but he did also mention that when he's on the phone there are a dozen other guys also right nearby, so he may not want to say anything in such a public forum. He's had a couple chances to make phone calls the past few weeks, but that may be because his sister got married a week ago and he was made section leader (briefly) a few weeks back - he's since lost the title, and he did say he wasn't sure why, but it's all good - I can't wait to see him! Most of those calls have gone to other people - his grandmas, his dad, his sister and her husband on their wedding day - but he did call me on Friday afternoon re: Thanksgiving arrangements.
He did say they've already gotten their boot camp ribbons? but that he won't be getting his handgun ribbon because there was something wrong with his final inspection? I have no idea what he was talking about, but I made understanding noises on the phone. :) All I'm really listening for is signs of stress or illness, and he sounds ok, although he did say he was wicked sick last week (but is ok now). I figure I'll get the scuttlebutt once we're out of earshot of others. :)
He said they're getting offbase overnight liberty from after Grad to Saturday at 2100 - I don't know if that's gospel, though. I did see this on RTC's facebook page, though:

Thanks bubbymom!!! Join our prayer group, I just sent you an invite. Our division has won some flags!!! YAY!!! I too am excited about them getting to stay with us overnight my son told me that when he called Halloween night . He told me he had good news & bad news that was the good news, the bad news was that he had lost ARPOC (division leader) but that he was happy to have held onto it for a good week, sounds like ARPOC is the hardest job and doesn't stay assigned to the same recruit for a long time. I did found out from my son that SR Anderson has been 2nd in command since I believe week 2, if anyone related to SR Anderson is reading this.....I just wanted to say a huge congratulation!!! BIG achievement!!! As for all the recruits in this group a huge congratulations on working as a team, it may have taking longer than other divisions but it is just in time for this big test on Friday & for BattleStation 21!!!

Hey everybody! Thanks Latin mom I will join the prayer group and give my recruits name in a private mess. My name is Nadine. Im am soooo glad to hear about the flags!!! I dnt know Anderson but that is AWESOME!!! Hopefully his strong leadership skills helped pull our guys together! Yr rt better late then NEVER...Day, Maliz,kefella Im glad to hear we r all in the same groups. My son mentioned some friends in a few letters. Gonna prv mess to c if any r yr sons or boyfriends. We r almost THERE!!!! PRAYERS WILL GET US THROUGH. I know my sleep patterns are soon to change. I dnt mind cause I will gladly spend my waking moments in prayer for our men and women....

again, not sure who Sr. Anderson is, but that is awesome! My recruit was on the head something-or-other and said he gave up his position for the master at arms position, and he lost by two votes.. He was pretty bummed but he did say that people get turned out of the job on a regular basis so he may get another shot. He talks about a Sr. Culp and a Sr. Thrower. I am assuming those are their last names so if anyone knows either of them our recruits may be close! :)

Hey All - I have a daughter in this division - we are flying in from Orlando for PIR next week - hopefully she will pass everything before then - Can't wait to see her and I'm really excited they get to spend several days with us. She sounds good but is REALLY ready to get over BC... Wishing everyone well - see you next week...
