I saw something about Johnny's as well...looked like everyone was looking at around 4 p.m. Did you get a shirt and ribbon? I was just now reading about that as well but since I'm not on here that much, I missed all the details so I don't know if it's too late for me.
Contact Lala Ribbon Queen for the ribbons. You can find her on the PIR 11/24/10 group. There's a link for division t-shirts (www.NavyTees@gmail.com), a free blue star flag to signify child in the military (www.MyBlueStarFlag.com), storage lockers outside the base for storing stuff until A-School (www.thelockandgo.com), etc. These were all in the last few days, if you want to look back. Ive got all my reservations made, secured a petsitter, ordered my ribbons, division t-shirt and flag. Now I'm just counting down the days and hoping the weather holds out until after we all get back home.
My son doesn't want to go out to eat on Thanksgiving. He wants to watch football all day so I will either go get something or prepare a meal. Not a Thanksgiving dinner because he said he did not want it.
I didn't even THINK about that....of course! FOOTBALL!!! Both my daughter AND her dad are huge fans of the Cowboys (in spite of the way they're playing this year) so it may be they won't want to be out either (especially at 4 p.m.)! Thanks for the reminder...I'll need to check with her in my next letter to find out what she will want to do;)
oh yeah football thursday. He just want to rest watch tv and sleep. I was thinking about fixing his favorite meal-shrimp alfredo ( it that spelled correct?) with broccoli. Or some chicken wings. I will see what restaurants are around. I need to find a supermarket too.
We are staying at the Springhill Suites and from what I understand, there is a Walmart across the street...I'm guessing they would have grocery items there as well; AND a Buffalo Wild Wings;)
Our sons are on the same ship same division . Have you received your second phone call yet? I haven't I am hoping to get it any time now.
Haven't yet but they should be calling to get the liberty plans straight with us. I am writing him today to let him know that I know he can stay with us until Sat and to tell him where we are staying. I saw that the are authorized to bring a 'buddy' so I would like to know if he is going to do that. Knowing him he will. Then I need to know if that buddy need any clothes to relax in. My son packed a box before he left of things he wanted us to bring to him.
Yes we are in the same div. and graduating on nov. 24 do you know anything about div shirts. or anything going on while we are their.
Hi Dot, AndreaS61 wrote a message about the shirts, flags and lock'n'go. Go back to earlier comments. This will help you.
Still waiting for that second phone call any word from your son yet?
I'm waiting for a second call too. I guess no news is good news, but I'm dying to hear my daughter's voice.
