N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

On base and guest who go to the chapel must stay there to watch the graduation and can't leave the premises until after graduation. Yes, it's on base and great option for those brining a few extras

Navydad...where is this chapel? Is it on base where the extra guests would drive with us in a car or is it near base?
Comment by NavyDad on October 20, 2015 at 2:05pm
Misspelled, ment to say bring extra guest. I hope this helps, I know we have two extras.
Comment by NavyDad on October 20, 2015 at 2:02pm
It is possible to print a few extra guests beyond the 4 to PIR if they are willing to watch on the big screen at the Chapel. (This info was issued by the Chapel of RTC AUG. 2015.

We do offer an overflow area for extra guests in our chapel at Recruit Training Command (RTC). However, this is not intended as an open invitation to bring several extra guests as our #1 concern is the comfort and safety of our staff and guests on our military installation. We offer the overflow area as a courtesty to the extra guests, however, there are limitations which one may wish to consider when deciding whether or not the chapel option is for them.
To make it absolutely clear, there is not a limit as to the amount of extra guests you can bring to the chapel, but please consider the following information and keep in mind that we have very limited staff to accommodate extra guests, so we please ask to keep your extra guests at an absolute minimum. If this courtesy gets abused by those attempting to bring an excessive amount of extra guests, restrictions will be put in place. Again, please respect our request to keep your guests to only a few.
Children younger than 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older and they cannot be left alone. All guests must have a photo I.D. just as the guests on the access must have. If you do not have a photo I.D., you will not be allowed to go to the chapel.

Is there a general time frame in which to expect the call?  Early morning or evening?  Or does it just depend.  Any one in 06/025 gotten a call yet?  I am hoping since 06/026 got to make their calls 06/025 will make theirs soon.  Phone is on LOUD siren ringer, much to my co-workers delight, lol!

Thank you everyone for your supportive words and prayers! This site is so awesome!

jrwmdro: prayers for complete healing / recovery and favor with Navy officials. My son also had an issue and they are allowing him to continue on through the process and look at scheduling a surgery right after BOOTCAMP but before A school. We are praying for your son as we pray for ours. I believe the Navy has several options and considerations when it comes to dealing with injuries and health issues at BOOTCAMP. So let's pray for the Lord's healing and favor for them...and no surgery, unless completely necessary.

So sorry, jrwmdro.  Sure hope it is something that with a little rest and rehab, he will be fine, just a little delayed.

Lisamarie271 - I will be praying for your peace and that darn phone call.

jrwmdro I will pray for your son and a complete healing of his knee.

Nickyra04 Awesome that you got a call.  I absolutely love that verse. I am going to lean on it for the next 35 days.

My daughter is in Ship 11 DIV 020. We got the form letter about 11 days from the day she arrived (09/29). We have not received a phone call or an actual letter.

No news is Good news. But no news is no fun either.
