N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Ship 11 Div 19... Got a phone call day, he sounds good. He said that everyone has a cold and that they were all doing alot IT (intense training), becuase people are slow or not listening. He said he is on a push schedule so he is either week 1 day 5 or week 2 day 1. He was clear on 34 days left though..so I am not sure what that means. He is still also getting Names and address for clearences but this was a personal call. He said the only Mail he got was the one I sent off 10/10 but nothing else. (we have sent others).

So I think that is all the info I got that might help, hope you all get to talk to your love one soon.

she definitely has no fat she only weights 110lbs

trishw5, Not passing the prone float part of the swimming test is common. It's hard to pass when there is no fat to float. :) Don't worry she will have many a try to pass before PIR, and she will also get "extra help" to help her pass. I am guessing the 5x's is a tactic to "try harder."

My son also was unable to prone float, but he was given the help needed to figure out the no fat to float issue. He passed just two weeks before PIR.

Hang in there, there is still plenty of time!!

My son is on Ship 14 Div 022. I got a call Friday 10/16 around 9:30 E.S. time. It only lasted about a minute but it was GREAT to finally hear his voice. He said he was going to call Sunday 10/18/15, but no call ever came. Anyone else have SR on this ship & Div? Have you had any calls or letter yet?

Was able to get my husband on phone with us. We keep telling her she would do fine. She said she could only try 5Xs. She said she thinks she having trouble passing it cause she has cold and can't breathe. My granddaughter which she is very close to said hey to her. She's 3 1/2 and said she sent her a pic in mail. Then she broke down again.I think this is the hardest part knowing they are upset and homesick and we can't do nothing about it. Breaks my heart.

I went to Boot Camp for the Marines so I can hear the voices of the instructors in my head. That might be why the news of them having a hard time is bugging me so much. I understand the stress and the felling lost in the beginning.

Hoping for a call. I just want to give her some motivation.

Wow!  Face down for 5 minutes?!  I wonder how my SR did with that test?  She didn't say anything.  Hoping for that first letter this week!  Those girls need to get their ducks in a row quick-like!
