Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 023 and 024

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi Vicki, My daughter is also Div 023 and going to school in Pensacola.

Oh yeah we will be there.  We are driving from North Alabama about a 10 to 11 hour drive.  Are you going to the Meet & Greet on Tuesday night?  we are staying at the Navy Lodge.  Maybe we can all meet up!  I think everyone is planning to wear Pink to Meet and Greet and PIR to be able to find all the Navy for Moms!  Got to find something Pink!  Also one of the moms is making name tags for the Meet & Greet so that we can find each other!  We live in North Alabama.  Planning on making several trips down to Pensacola!  Can always use a reason to go to the beach!

Hi Vicki.  My daughter is in 024 and is headed to San Antonio for A school :)

She is 18 so just a baby.  She is my first born so it has been a big adjustment to have my first baby leave the nest and then the military on top of it.  My husband was in the Navy so I do feel more comforted since I am very familiar with the military life.  I am not sure why she decided on the Navy exactly.  She actually had been talking about it for a couple years.  She is braver than I am and I admire her for that.  She is in to be a Corpsman which is exactly what my husband did.  What is your son in for?

I know how you feel sweetshave, my oldest daughter is also the one who neft the nest for bootcamp. We are so close that it's sad not having her around. I am so proud of her though for doing something with her life that she can be proud of that it over shadows the sadness of missing her!

Hi!  My daughter is in ship 9 div 23, and I received a call this AM!  She is 23 years old.

My daughter is also ship 9, div 023, she is 20.

My daughter is in division 024. She also called this morning she sounded good but started crying half way through the call. Heart wrenching to hear your baby cry and you can't reach over and give her a hug.

Hi there.  My son is 19 - will turn 19 there - and is in Div 023.  He is going to Fort Lee, VA for culinary school.  He wishes to get on a carrier to hopefully then feed your kids well :)  Nice too meet everyone!  Phone call yesterday was great.  He sounded still excited and pretty good!

My 18 year old will go to GL on July 1, 2014 as soon and he graduates high school. He will be a culinary specialist also.

Eileen

Hi all! My name is Eileen.  My SR is on Ship 9 Div 023.  He'll turn 20 just after PIR.  He's an Electricians Mate so he'll  go to "A" School in GL.  Glad to be here and meet others in the same boat!  :-)

Hi Eileen,  Great to meet you.  And very cool about your other son as well.  :)  - Kate
