N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

I had to hold myself back on devouring the entire pint (which I HAVE done before, much to the amazement of the man in my life!)...only because I reminded myself I paid $5.29 for the darn thing!!!  lol

Chocolate is definitely considered one of the mandatory foods to be consumed by women who have SRs at bootcamp...its the LAW!  :-)

barefoot:  You GO, girl!  A day of nothing but desserts....I'm sure you covered all of the major food groups...so no worries!  :-)  But only a 1/3 of point of ice cream?  Really??  Hmmm....the whole pint sounds good to me!  :-)

Sweetshaye, don't feel like you're alone there. My normal 'diet' has given way to eating mini Twix for breakfast...and then there was yesterday, a friend pointed out on Facebook that it was National Dessert Day.  I chose to celebrate by eating a healthy 1/4 of a coconut cream pie...for DINNER.  Dessert later last night consisted of 1/3 of a pint of Haagen Dazs White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle ice cream! (face...palm...)

sweetshaye:  That is where we went after my son's PIR.  I don't believe they take reservations...you sign up on wait list when you get there.  I don't remember that we waited long, if at all, but we got there around noon and PIR for my son was when Six Flags (nearby) was closed for the season (would be for this group too)---crowds from Six Flags can cause a wait there I saw on some reviews--- so it wasn't too crowded that early.  We LOVE Cracker Barrel!

Good Morning All !

Just a reminder... Don't forget it's Tuesday Trivia (on the U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command FB page)- winner gets a picture of their SR's division posted. I'll be trying, but if I don't win it, I hope it's one of you N4M members. :) Good Luck!

Oh yeah and my daughter has a ton of great shoes and we are the same size! Lol, taking advantage of her being gone by raiding her closet! Now if I can get down to her size clothes I would be set!

I think I have gained 10lbs since my daughter left ;)  LOL.  Still waiting around for the form letter.  Dumb.  Was able to send out some letters though and cant wait till I get a letter from her!  I was leaning towards the Cracker Barrel for Thanksgiving dinner.  Does anyone know if they take reservations?  We don't have one here in Reno so I am clueless!
