Welcome to Your Division!  I hope you will be able to attend the Meet and Greet.  Just to make it fun I hope you will take a little time and design a simple flag to represent your division at the Meet and Greet that will be used to designate your divisional table.  While we will all meet together as a PIR group it will help you find each other as a division as well!  Show your creativity!!   Each division will have some individual issues because each division will be unique.  I hope you find this helpful and fun!!

Hi Everyone,

I am very new to this site and this group. My daughter is in SHIP 11 Division 362. Please advise what this Meet and Greet is all about. I just made my flight arrangements to be there on the 4th. I am so proud of our children!!

I have a son in Afghanistan (Army) and now my daughter !! Who would have thought my children would have chose the military!!

Thanks in advance for your suggestions and comments!!
First i will keep your son in my prayers and thank you from the bottom of my heart for his service!! The Meet and Greet is to allow us to say hello basically to each other after spending the next many weeks getting to know each other and supporting each other through boot camp! It is tentatively planned for 6 to 8 PM on 11/4 at Anastasias. That may change in terms of a place but not the time. Please join the chat in the main area as well. Welcome to your PIR group. I look forward to getting to know you!! Be made aware some families are getting letters today and more are expected tomorrow!!
I actually got my letter yesterday! And her box arrived on Monday. I was quite surprised they arrived so quickly!
I, too, am new to this site and group. My daughter is also with yours. If you find out where the Meet and Greet is, please pass it along. I will be driving down and will make my hotel arrangements this week. I am so excited to see my daughter again.
Another of my daughters just was sworn in to the Army and will leave for boot camp in March to Oklahoma, so I will have two children in the military and a son-in-law just getting out of the Army.
I think I'm going to need a letter writing intervention! I've been mailing a letter a day. Tonight I went to buy some funny, encouraging cards (with white envelopes). I don't want to draw any unnecessary attention to my son. I'm hoping to get a call soon. That would be really nice.
Hi Taunya, my daughter also went that night...no regular letter yet, just the box and form letter with her 8 sentences at the bottom...I read earlier that they usually hold their mail ath first 2 weeks which will end on Monday...they usually get to start writing letters themselves the 2nd Sunday(this Sunday) Yeah!!!!! And welcolm to the division...
Actually. no, she flew out of Baltimore. Has lived with her dad last coupla years going to school and working. Just turned 21-has decided to move on with her life. What is your son's rating and where is he going after BC?
Hi Taunya! My name in Andrea. My daughter, Heather, is in Ship 7. Div 362. Good to meet you! I don't know when you posted this. But, no "regular letter" from Heather as yet. Like Gabby wrote, the "form letter" was received last week. I can't wait to get a letter!!!
