Welcome to Your Division!  I hope you will be able to attend the Meet and Greet.  Just to make it fun I hope you will take a little time and design a simple flag to represent your division at the Meet and Greet that will be used to designate your divisional table.  While we will all meet together as a PIR group it will help you find each other as a division as well!  Show your creativity!!   Each division will have some individual issues because each division will be unique.  I hope this discussion is both helpful and fun!!

Good for you. Waiting is so tough. My son's recruiter had me speak to a group of Depper parents today (why I wonder, I am like the most over-protective parent) and we talked about how hard it s if you don't get that letter or call. I found out that much mail gets "lost" at RTC for various reasons one of which being that the recruits are the ones assigned the jobs of gathering the mail and doing some of the processing. (Doesn't that ease your mind?) it was so funny to hear the recruiter talk about breaking off ties and then tell the parents you would understand why the RDCs have to be tough if you had had to work with some of the "sniveling enlisted sailors" I have over the years whose RDCs were too soft. I was like, I wanted my child to have one those RDCs. I know he knew I was thinking that cause he gave me don't even think about saying that military look that makes you shudder in your boots. I think you will hear this week!!
I received a letter last Thursday, but no call. It was a short letter, but I know he is writing many other people. THe time is flying by for me as I stay pretty busy, but I sure do miss him and can't wait to see him. I hope everyone is holding up well. I am staying at the Residence Inn and arriving on Thursday.
we arrive early thurs also and leaving Saturday... husband figured son would be a grad and go... as A School is in SC. its rough when they have a gf/bf... I try to communicate with the gf to share info.. I figure he will call her.. nothing today... had my hopes up... I am a true mother still worrying each week of bootcamp...
Join the club...I worry all the time...i am sitting here holding my letter...shedding a few tears...reading between the lines and knowing my son is tired and overwhelmed and it makes me sad...I just want to hold him and hug him...so I say I'm in that club too and you what...dang proud of it!!
yep! that's exactly right! I can't wait to see my wife and meet you amazing ladies.

I got 2 letters yesterday, so glad! Got a giggle out of hearing he irons his skivvies....Still no phone call, and have no idea when it may come...I just make sure that my cell is always with me and always charged, just in case (:
How long do you think it will take them to revert to old habits when they come home to visit???
Ha! I'm sure the clothes will be on the floor in no time!! Except for the uniform, of course.
