Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 037 and 038

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Question!  Our son is in the 12/5/14 PIR graduating class....my husband and I and our daughter are planning to attend....what is the dress code, does anyone know?  We can't wait to see him!

I have heard the same thing, business casual. That's what I plan on wearing, dress pants and a dress shirt. I agree Kimberly, I bet it will be very cold by then! I am starting to get exited!! I can't wait to my my SR!!!

Has anyone received a phone call from their SR this weekend?  I'm not expecting one, but am keeping my hopes up that they might have earned a call.  Miss my boy so much!!

Mitchelsmom, I haven't heard from my SR, since last Saturday. I did receive my first letter and the form letter finally, from him on Wednesday!! I can't wait to get another letter or call! I miss my son too!! 5 weeks left until PIR!!

I got a call about an hour ago (Ship 04, Div 037).

I also got a call from my SR about an hour ago!! Ship 4, Div. 038!! He sounded better than he did last weekend!!
I am glad you both recieved calls from your SR's too!! My SR, didn't say anything about calling tomorrow, but he did ask me for his girlfriends phone number...lol. Maybe that is why we wanted her number. She would be so happy, if he was to call her...lol. My SR sounded a lot better also! He has to have his wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow. I dread that for him! I hope this next 5 weeks goes by fast!! I sure miss my SR, but was so happy to get that call!! Have a good night!!

Our son is on ship 4 div 038, has any one had their son/daughter sound unhappy?  And if so does it get better as the weeks go by?  We had one phone call from him so far does any one know if he will be able to call again?  I miss him but know this is his dream and I hope he starts to feel better about this.  Does A school get better?(I hope once he starts to learn his trade it will be better). Thanks for any support,

A worried mom

Thanks Lori I told him it would all be worth it when he graduates, but you know being a mom you still worry about them no matter what. I just wish they could have more communication with us.

Kimberly68 yes we had our1st phone call since the early morning one letting us know he was there this past Sunday and it was only about 15 minutes long.  Someone was in the background telling him his time was up when he was talking to his father and he told him he had to go.  I was wondering why I'm reading that others talked for 30 minutes and we only had 15 to talk to our son.  And also others have had more phone calls?  I hate not knowing what is going on, we all miss him very much and it would be nice to have a relaxed conversation with him that wasn't rushed so we could get more info.! And yes we made our reservations for the hotel yesterday we will be getting there on Thursday before so we can look around the area. What job is your son going to be doing, ours is going to be a gunner's mate.

My SR was also able to call again home again yesterday! This time is was only for 15 minutes. He told me that they were able to call home on Sunday and again yesterday, for good behavior! He sounded a lot better than he did a week ago! My son, will be going to A school in Pensacola, for a year, he is also planning on coming home for Christmas, and hope it doesn't take to many of his Leave days away, so that he can come back home after A school!

Does anyone know, exactly what day  Div. 038 started their "Hell Week"?  I have heard on the 6th and also on the 11th!  Just trying to figure what week they are on!
