What is Marlinspike? I know they have been running alot. I was glad to hear about the teamwork. Do you know how they did on the gas? I haven't heard? Just real glad that all the spirits are up and all the SR's seem to be doing good!! Have you heard anything on A school? Will it start as soon as they return from leave or at the 1st of the year?
Marlinspike is when they get to practice basic seamanship skills on a model ship. It is hard, and fun at the same time. They really enjoy it. I think it will be this coming week. I think gas chamber is Monday? Best advice I've seen is keep blinking to make tears flow, breath through your mouth, and vomit in your shirt so you don't have to clean up the floor. Now doesn't that sound fun? As bad as that sounds, they've never lost a SR in there. Our SR's RDC's are cream of the crop, and are taking good care of our SR's. After proper training, our guys get to do a lot of cool fun stuff in BC. I also noticed in the Thanksgiving photos that a lot of the SR's have been awarded marksmanship medals. So cool, I'm impressed. That's always good in case of pirates.
I know its alot of hard work and they seem to be having fun. I know my daughter is. What do the red cords mean that I have seen in the pictures? Lets hope and pray they don't have to fight pirates but I know they will be very prepared. Do they have a graduation for A school and C school?
Has anyone heard when 905 does Battlestations? I hope its earlier than some others have a flight to catch to get there and would hate to be in the air when he calls and says "I am a sailor."
I have finally heard that my son is the divisions flag designer. I hope they gave him his deadline, he is a perfectionist when it comes to his art especially if he is trying to represent his fellow recruits and the Navy. I can not wait to see his work.

I hear that Division 905 won Captain's Cup.  YEAH!!!!!

Holy Cow, that's awsome!!!

Way to go 905!!!!!  Thats the way to do it!!!!

Thanks Chief and Petty Officers, you get an yeah whoo from this mom.  You did good. Bravo Zulu as I have learned.  My always knew I had a good kid and now you all have played a part in making him a great you man.
