Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 041 and 042

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I received a call as well last night!! Was so excited to just hear his voice!! Yep, he had his wisdom teeth pulled, and he has a cough. He sounded very good, was a good talk. He is also a nuke, and he commented on how many there were...
I got my first call last night, it was so good to hear my sons voice. He is on ship 11 div 41. We were able to talk for 20 minutes,he seemed good better than what I read in his first letter. It's good to hear most of you got calls as well.
Is there a FB group for ship 11 div 41?
Yeah! Good to hear that so many happy calls came thru. Dragonfly, hopefully your SR is on the road to recovery and all the others that had to get teeth pulled.

Another call this evening! Wait! I thought this was boot camp! my guy said it's because it's some milestone, and Sunday's call was a reward. He sounds so upbeat. He likes the learning of stuff, but not the drilling...especially folding uniforms. I could imagine. Tomorrow is Training Week 3, day 1, and yes, it has gotten cold.

I got a call this afternoon too!  My SR sounded upbeat today too!  He said the division all scored above a 4.0 on their test so they earned a flag.  He said this is huge for them.  I asked if this was why they got the added call today.  He wasn't sure because he said his RDC was mad because they had to make their beds like 10 times today because they had a 4.1 going into the test and after the final scores were at a 4.11.  The commander thought they should have done better so he made them make and strip their beds over and over!  He did say next week that they are going to look at re-classifications for some of the SRs.  He's thinking of changing his if possible.  He said he's happy with his original choice, but he's thinking he may want to do something different.  I told him about the typhoon.  I guess he hadn't heard anything about it from anyone!  Was so nice to hear from him again.  He said he didn't know when he'd get to call again!

Way to Go, Div 042!! I'm curious how my SR in Div 041 did. They probably don't want them to get too absorbed in this victory as they may relax and lose focus... hence the making of the beds 10 times...lol. It's all a bunch of mind games but there's always a method to the madness.

Got a letter in the mail...addressed to my SR's "female of interest"...I can't call he his girlfriend...yet. When we talked on Sunday, he explained that he wrote to both of us, but only had time to address her letter... I know next week I'll have two!

Hey, family first then "females of interest"! Your letter should have been addressed first.

I guess no news is good news. I was sure hoping to hear from my SR this weekend. I didn't get to talk to him last Sunday when he called but my husband did. Sure missing him tonight.

Kate - I was feeling the same way - especially with the storm and all.  Sigh...

Yeah, I was worried about the weather as well.

Blake told me when I talked to him last Wednesday that if he was put back with his division, he wouldn't be calling for a couple of weeks so to take him not calling as good news!  So I am until I hear otherwise.  Praying that his spirits are up and that he is doing better emotionally.  I wrote him and gave him some scripture verses that he could pray.  I am so thankful that he doesn't have to be alone for the holidays now.  He told me that I would be getting a letter and to ignore it, he said he was in a very dark place when he wrote it, but is doing much better now! PTL  He said that he prays all the time and that the attention to details is kicking his butt,(which I find a little amusing because for how intelligent he is organization has NEVER been his strong suit. lol)  I know that he Lord is growing him up and he will be a better man due to this experience!!  Can't wait until graduation!   Missing him alot!!
