Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 041 and 042

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Any word on the pink eye situation?  I got a letter yesterday from my son but he didn't write anything about it.

Thanks

Jocie, so far I heard Div 041 has it - several guys.  My SR is in 042.  Keeping my fingers crossed.  I haven't heard from my SR in a week now.  I keep telling myself no news is good news!  If I hear anything I will let you know.  Have you linked up with the FB page I posted yesterday?  There are some moms on there that are posting that they have gotten letters and their SRs DO have pink eye.

Necklace?  What kind and where?  Blake didn't say anything about pink eye in his letter.

I'm a designer for Origami Owl (my profile pic is the necklace).  You can custom make them however you want.  I LOVE it!  It's very sparkly.  LOL!

Got a letter from Jake today - he HAS pink eye AND he said he has a horrible cough! UGH!

Thanks for the info, no I haven't linked up to the fb page but I will.  Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that they all get over it so they can all make PIR on time.

Thanks again,

Jocie

Got a letter today!  Blake is graduating on time and gets to see his cousin for Thanksgiving!!!!  PTL!!!

Yay!

HuskerFan - My SR is in 042. Got a letter today and he had pink eye. Oy vey! First URI, then wisdom teeth pulled, now pink eye. Can the kid get a break! Oops, sorry, he's no longer a kid. But still. Says he was first stick, but is getting promoted to PFC. What is PFC? That means at graduation, he will be the first one into the drill hall. He says that they are having inspections. Pray they do well on the inspections. He says the division has difficulties with inspections.

OOO - I don't know what PFC is?  I got a letter from Jake today too.  He talked a lot about the GI bill and stuff like that.  He did talk a bit about getting to come home for Christmas - some confusion on that.  So hard not actually getting to talk to him.  One sentence stuck out most in his letter.  He wrote "You are my hero and my inspiration, you mean so much to me".  Ironically I consider HIM to be MY hero!  Gosh I love this kid!

Awesome! How sweet!!
PFC I think means Private 1st Class! Cool. I hope and pray they all can get thru those inspections on time and pass them.

PFC - Personal Flag Carrier! 3 weeks and we can give them hugs!
