Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 037 and 038

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hello ladies. I have a sailor in ship 13. He's not actually mine, but my son's friend. They joined together but my son has already finished BC and Sub School. His friend left Oct 16 for GL.. I went to MEPS to see him swear in. I have been writing him as well. His dad travels a lot and is currently out of the country, his Mom is not much on the scene, Is this whole ship/dv nukes?

Peace,

Annette

I got a letter today from my son's friend, he began it with "Dear Mama". That touched my heart, He said mine was the only letter he had received, I need to get writing more! I sent him a phone card, but forgot to send him my number! He is doing well, said Monday (I presume the 4th) starts 2-1 for them. He is doing well!

I received a quick call from my recruit tonight. He indicated  they will be very busy the next few weeks and will be unable call the next two weekends. Looking forward to Turkey day. Told me to keep the letters coming!

Underwear? Sounds odd, but my SR has done an awful lot of complaining about the briefs they were issued. Not his preferred underwear at all. I only plan on taking SR his phone/charger and ipod/charger, maybe his laptop, but A School is in our hometown, so he won't need much. Plus a few new pairs of boxers.

This may be a good question to ask on the main wall! To my knowledge, once they are checked in at A School and assigned a room in the BEQ, you can send REAL care packages. Including Christmas presents. There's also the potential that your son can come home for Christmas though. Most A Schools have a Christmas exodus where students are encouraged to take leave
The last letters got from my son said xmas leave 12/20 after he leaves GL and goes to Goose Creek. He better be right! I was over the moon when I heard that!
I'm glad I could make someone's day. :-) Don't get too excited over the possibility of him coming home, it is the Navy and things can change. But most instructors really want to spend the holidays with their families, which means students generally have the opportunity as well.
What rate is your SR?

I am local to Chicago, and my son was able to get liberty for Thanksgiving, I asked him earlier this month to invite others, they had to get it figured out by 8-NOV-13.In his letter he indicated most of the SRs were already adopted, or didn't want to go. If they let me I will grab anyone who can come with us.

Can an admin of this page please help me? I received an e-mail saying a post of mine had been removed due to opsec issues. I can't recall what I might have posted that was a problem. If someone can e-mail me please and let me know, so I don't make that mistake again? Thank you!

Sailors adopted by Springbrook Community Church today!

Hi ladies, anyone have their SR adopted by a church on thanksgiving that took them to Dunkin Donuts, driving range, pizza and bowling?  If so do you have pictures and the name of the church?
