I got a phone call today. 57 minutes! Woot I was soo excited. I was told they lost their call last weekend cause a group of guys don't know how to keep their mouths shut. Nancy it wasn't your son. J talked about your son.. he said he talks a little more than he likes but he didn't get them in trouble. J said they have been talking and told me he laughs at your sons middle name. It was odd he said. They failed one test and didn't earn that flag but they have earned one so far. They have to get up in the middle of the night to iron and again to shave. J said he can't wait to be able to sleep a whole night. He said the "bank people" were suppost to come back to talk to them tomorrow. J said he thinks its to give them their info for their accounts cause they already signed up and gave them the info. J said the boys are released at 12 after PIR to go on leave so they are literally a grad and go. J said I had been sending him so many letters that he is going to have to start throwing away the envelopes or sending me my letters back home.
Welcome Moch1 (did I get that right), This is the MOST awesome place for support and info!! So glad to meet another div 026 person!! It helps to consolidate the info, although Mary gets WAY more info from her hubby than I get from my son!! Mary I will message you about his middle name, he doesn't like it, but hey, he was a few hours old when he got it :-). THANKS so much for sharing the info you have. I am SO glad that J and I have met. Moch1 I will friend you so we can share names. I am assuming you have your page set to private, it's the only way that we can share our info!! I have to go to work, I will check back in tonight!!
So I recieved another letter. J said on Friday that they had 20days til Battlestations.. that would put it on the 16th.This week is their "Hell Week". They have their 2nd PFA, 3 inspections, live fire, and Marlinspike. They will be the 2nd of the 15 divisions graduating.... they line up by height. He said he will call the night before PIR to tell me where he will be in line once they know how many they have.
Got another WONDERFUL letter today!
Monday they did Marlinspike which is basically a big practice ship for battlestations. 13 safety hits from the 72 recruits in the division. Half of those hits were from 2 people. J said one guy in his group got 2 of those hits for doing the same thing.
Tuesday they did their 2nd PFA. Also had their 2nd PI ( Personal Inspection ) and WTI ( Weapon Turnover Inspection ). Tuesday they were sitting on a 4.45 out of 5.0 to get Battle-E(?) it's 4.5.
Wednesday they got their 3rd ASMO. Someone was on watch and had his disabled pistol out and wasn't suppost to and got caught buy a Rover ( a RDC that goes from differ compartments to check in on them).SMAT was today.
Thursday they had zone inspections and were sitting on a 4.56. They got the PFA flag and zone flag. They have 3 out of 3 flags. Drill has one too he says.Live fire was today.
Friday they did their drill and got a 4.7 out of 5.0.This pushed them up over 4.5 but later in the day they got their 3rd demerit chit. A street hit, bad news. Brought them down to 4.47. They did get the drill flag but have a low Div score for the 2nd phase.
Sunday they finalized guest list and were unable to use others list that didn't have 4 to add people. He was told that the day of graduation they would let people in as long as space permits. They got a Bravo Zulu.. a good job paper that cancels out the demerit chit.=) So they are back at Battle-E for the 2nd phase.
This week they have their 2nd test, gas chamber, live fire. Then next week they have 3rd PFA and 3rd test. Battlestation for DIV 026 is the 16th.
