I stole this discussion.. lol.

Our Sailors will come home for the HOLIDAYS! woot woot! So... I bet that makes all of us happy but them wondering.. How are we going to transport them? Do we have to pay? Will they get reinbursed? What if I am driving? And many more questions.. and ladies.. I don't know frankly all the answers to those questions and that is where this discussion comes in play. I will tell you what I have been told from Jonathons recruiter and you can add what information you know or what questions you might have..

From my understanding at this time.. our recruits will be eligible to go home after graduation but have to report to their A schools on the 2nd of Jan.

So, if they decide NOT to take all 10 days leave so they won't be in the hole, do they have to go back to the base and stay there for the other 5 days, or do those 5 days turn into liberty, instead of leave. Sorry if that's confusing, but does someone know what I mean? So can he have leave for 5 days, where he stays out and can go more than 50 mlies away, and then have liberty for 5 more days, where he just returns back to the base each night?
IF they do Liberty.. it will be for the weekend following graduation and then they take their leave.. After the leave they report to A school and once at A school.. they cannot leave until about 3 weeks when they earn Liberty. I have heard that the boys have to grad and go.. they don't want them at BC for Christmas.. Grad and go means to A school or home, but then I have heard that the boys will get Liberty.. and since it is a holiday Liberty.. they can leave after gradution and take Liberty until Sunday night then take leave.. I would ask your SR what he/she knows and what they wanna do. It is all hear-say at this point.. write your SR and ask them. When we get a SOLID answer to this question we will post here so watch the group discussion.
That makes sense, thank you! And I will :) Exactly 6 weeks left... !
