FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

awww im sorry Mary, i didnt mean too. im just glad to find this site, my bf has stood by me thru everythin happened in my life, and now thats he's away im trying to be strong for myself.. and everybody on here really gives me hope that really that day would soon be over and i get to see him and be with him again!! :)

thanks for welcoming me! i feel soo soo much better when i found out about this site. my mom passed away 2 yrs ago, and my dad passed away even before i was born.. both from cancer. but seeing every mom here supporting their kids reminds me of my mom. :) u guys should know how ur sons/daughter appreciate u so much by supporting them!

Mary.....my son does not play in a band unless you consider "Rock Band" on Playstation a musical talent and as for signing he would be an out take on American Idol....he mentioned last week when I talked to him they were asking for ASVAB scores, did you pass IFA and could you swim and he thinks that's what put him in the 906.

UGGGHHH.....if I don't get my letter soon I'm afraid I will go off the deep end, my son left 10/27.....maybe I'll just go to PIR 12/17 and 12/22 heck why not I have friends in each group
