When I called the PAO, she said to keep everything and when they get to A school, they can file a claim to be reimbursed for what the Navy would have paid for them to get there from GL.

SARA Happy late birthday! I am glad we both were lucky enough to get something from our boys on our special days!

Well ladies another day has gone and we are a day closer! I know I am feeling it.. even though I got my form letter yesterday and it was awesome I felt blank... I took a nice hot bath last night and it hit me like a ton of bricks and I just started crying and couldn't control it.. thought I was going to hyperventalate... but I pulled myself together and managed to get to bed ok. Its tough and I know I miss my husband cause he is the love of my life and I feel like I am missing half of myself. I thought of this group and all the positive things that have been said here and it lifted my spirits. This group is the closest thing I have to my husband and what's going on and I am thankful we have such wonderful strong women in here.

I just called the Public Affairs Office and she did confirm that they will be able to take leave. The time will be docked from their own leave, so I would check with your own child before making arrangements. Coming home and then back to A school would be on our dime. They would then calculate the difference in the fare to A school from home, as opposed to GL, and reimburse accordingly.

Yeah if you don't have a newer computer with Microsoft Works 6.0 or better you wouldn't of been able to open it. Give me a few minutes I am saving it as EVERY program I can... 7 of them so hopefully one of those will work for you ladies.

My husband called Monday and told me of him having two weeks leave. Still waiting on detailed info before I buy his plane ticket back home (as well as mine). So glad our recruits will get to spend time with us.

Still waiting on my box though.
