Mary can you look up a song by the Kingston Trio (way before your time) a song about the Reuben James? Its the "ship" in BC. See if you want to add it to the list of songs.

Mary, I just sent you a friend request. I also wanted to let you know that I posted your group link on the Boot Camp Moms page. You may be getting some more members soon. It just seems as though all the new moms on there, are a little lost right now. I think they will be so much more at ease, knowing there is a wonderful group of ladies who can help them through.

Priscilla, wow a baby and a new sailor at the same time. What a wonderful time in your life. Glad to meet you and good luck to your husband and to you. You have many exciting things going on now.

Priscilla that is so exciting. How fortunate to get to come home after PIR for 2 weeks. I wish it was like that for all the sailors in every PIR group. My daughter is a Navy wife as well and she is a sailor. :-)

I've been lurking the site for the past few days, so I'll finally introduce myself. My name is Priscilla. Currently I'm in San Antonio. Been a military brat my whole life and now I'm a navy wife. My husband "S" arrived at bc 10/28. Yesterday I got a 10min personal call from him, which seriously lifted a weight off my shoulder. :) His pir date is 12/22. Afterward he'll have 2wks leave to spend time at home with me in San Antonio. Yay. His A school is in great lakes for a whole year, so I'll be moving up there with him and will also deliver our first child there in February. :)

Soo glad I found this place. It helps to remind me that I'm not all alone here, lol.

Start writing letters, write every day if you can. They live for mail while in boot camp, it is their only connection to the outside world and they say it is what keeps them going. Just remember their mail is held for the first couple of weeks so you may get a letter saying "Why aren't you writing?" Don't worry they will get your letters. :-)

La la Ribbon Queen, your ribbons are beautiful and it is such a wonderful thought. Thank you so very much for your willingness to share your expertise and just plain being there for us. Kim
