Lynne:  You are too funny...of COURSE you "graciously" forgave the person who forgot to call!  Yep, you sure did!  uh HUH!  :-)

PROUDMOM:  It is possible that gate passes will be up tomorrow.  I just google "upcoming navy graduations", click on Recruit Training Command-Upcoming Graduations, and it takes me right to the page with the PIR dates and gate pass prompt.  I have seen the option for the gate pass posted late morning and sometimes not until the afternoon.  So just keep checking during the day.  It is supposed to be up 11 days prior to PIR, but for Fri PIR dates, it is usually up by Monday the previous week.  Since you all are a Wed date, I have a feeling it will be up tomorrow.  If not, for sure on Tuesday.

Worry Wart:  NO worries from Lynne or me at all!  We are all on here to help one another...and sometimes words can be misunderstood....no offense taken at all because I figured that you didn't mean anything but I just wanted to clarify.  We are thankful that you are asking questions so we can post info for you!  We are both veteran moms...and so enjoy helping you all.  So ask away!   Moving forward!

This is what we woke up to this morning here in Western NC, 6 inches of snow. We rarely ever see snow before January. Our average snowfall for one season is 6 inches for the whole winter. Last winter we had 42inches in Brevard and it looks like this year is going to be the same. Please travel safely to PIR.

Thank you. We are so excited. His dad is bouncing off the walls. He is driving me crazy. I will be that way once we start traveling then I will drive him nuts. lol Time seemed to go by so slowly when he first left no it seems to be flying by.

Hey Lynne, Lala Ribbon Queen & Diannep... Just wanted to thank you all for your support & prayers for our recruits who may be ill. Lynne, I was afraid I had offended you b/c I was confused by the 1st line of your reply comment. I initially worried that you thought the flu bug illness seemed funny to me. I don't know ??? I assure you it was not, I sincerely hope it didn't appear that way. If it did, please accept my apology. I was truly concerned for them & for your son after you shared your experience, (glad to hear he is healthy & was able to grad) I knew you were concerned. You were very supportive & encouraging. Diannep, I appreciate your concern as well, you shared so many wonderful things about Lynne, I agree with you, she's great :). I think you though I was offended somehow, but not at all... I was concerned I might have somehow offended her....Just all misunderstood...a mess lol... I absolutely see how wonderful, supportive & knowledgeable you all are. :) it just got mixed up somehow. Lol. I love technology but I hate it as well. Email, text, blogs....just a simple typo or a word left out can sound entirely different. I've told my sons re: texting that it's nearly impossible to interpret emotions in a text & the intent of the msg is based on its content. So this new information highway has it's share of pot holes....it's easy to hit a few every now & then.. I hope you all know we're all on the same page. All concerned & here for each other. It's sweet to see what a caring family N4M's is :) You all take time to genuinely get to know our families. You freely open your hearts & share info, a shoulder, a prayer or kind word. I cannot thank you enough or say how much it means me. (hugs to all) :))

Gee thanks...I think gracious might be overstepping a little...as I recall the moms in my group rallied behind me and we discussed having a "tea party" out behind the wood shed at the RTC with the RDC...just a for a chat you know...lol...but all is well that ends well...but it is true...I did not think it was one bit funny....
