so excited I got 5 letters today!!!!One was for my younger son who turns 15 on the 6th.He told me his division has taken some beatings and himself also for talking and not marching right(the whole division). He sounds good and of course can't wait to get out of BC.He said"Mom you should get some of the guys names whose moms you talk to,that would be cool.you talking to their mom and me being here with them."We have a countdown on our letters.I write everyday so he gets the countdown from me.At the end of his letters I write Stay Strong Son and on one of his he wrote Stay strong Mom.Thought that was kinda neat.

Suzanne....happy that you got that call, sad because my son is in that division too. Let see, Miracles happen!!!

sacred's mom...aush!! to hear about that extra hour of PT, like they don't have enough. Is funny because my husband make jokes about how he bet that the RDC knows me already, because I write him everyday. He said I bet they all in trouble because of you. Well I try to keep him update with our life here. Even just a verse, sometimes poems, jokes what ever....just to make him feel love, that we are here 110 percent. Thanks for the info about FB.

I am praying for any of those families who are trying to drive to Chicago to get to tomorrow's PIR. A terrible snowstorm has the I90 in western NY shut down!!!! I feel so awful! I'm also praying that doesn't happen on 12/21 because we, too, will be driving that very same route and you just never know about that lake effect snow! :(
So Sacred'smom...you heard only three phone calls? Hmmm...I thought that was the minimum there were guaranteed, but they could get more especially as they got closer to PIR. Well, I'm still praying for one tomorrow!
Did anyone see the picture of the week? I know that is not our group, but it was fun to see them and know what our guys must also look like today! :)
Take care everyone!

Suzanne thank you for that update. My son is in DIV 031 also. I was so hoping to hear from him this weekend. I guess we will have to wait. :(

Walker Yay! What a great suprise for your daughter :)

I think they are only allowed 3 phone calls during the 8 weeks. It was emergency circumstances that prompted my son to call last night, I needed his report date to "A" school in order to make his reservations and believe me, he had to do 1 hr of PT for that 4 min call. But now I can make his reservations from GL to home and from home to Mississippi by the deadline that I am supposed to fax his itinerary to Scheduling. I asked him last night what happened to my calls and he told me that they are only allowed 3 for the entire boot camp unless their division is absolutely wonderful. He also said that he is writing as much as possible to me as well as his wife, but really busy so the letters from him are scarce but he hoped I would keep the letters coming although he is teased because he gets at least one letter (from his mom of course) without fail. So Rose, hang in there, we are almost there, we can see the finish line............................. I am researching the dos and don't of "A" school now so my son will have some sense of direction once he gets there. I try to keep one step ahead of him so he will be prepared. And believe me, it keeps my little mind occupied and the days are flying by. BTW, if you have not joined Navy Face Book, I suggest that you do, they post pictures of the graduating class the day before graduation, so if you sign up, they will send the links of the videos and pictures to your face book account. Just an FYI

Hi guys! It is a happy day! Got a call today from my son. He was working on his security clearance and had a few questions he needed answered and documents for me to send. I got to assess his mood and it was good. He said that I should not expect a real call this weekend but possibly next weekend. He was not sure that the group would be able to earn one in time. UGH!
