Did anyone have a problem with calling the scheduling office about itinerary? I called and was told it was not there department and asked if I should email instead, she told me no and it was my recruits responsibility to have that info. How can he have it if I am the one who made the reservations?

But instead of a fish it was a frog.

LOL LYNNE... I was singing that song to my step-son before J left trying to get him to learn that and J looked over at me and said that song somehow gave him the creeps!

When you are writing to your recruits this week...here is something you can ask them about:

I had a little fishy, his name was Tiny Tim
I put him in the bathtub, to see if he could swim.
He drank up all the water, and ate up all the soap.
And when he was finished he went glope, glope, glope.

This is the fishy song...recruits sing this as a part of a "beating". They have to lay on the ground...lift their arms, legs and head. They sing the songs and move their legs and arms like scissors for a LONG, LONG, LONG, time....lol~~ Ask your recruits about it...they will be impressed you know the words!!

Does anybody know when the sailors are supposed to make their arrangements for A School. Are we, their families, supposed to make the arrangements for them or are they supposed to do it while they are at boot camp? Someone please let me know?

Proudmom....your recruit will be so excited if you take some pictures of your girls and then copy them on to paper and make him feel like he is part of the celebration...maybe you can even add a decoration each day to the tree as a countdown for both your girls and you...and click a pic to add to your letter....how fun that would be for your girls to see less balls in the box as the time grows closer...lol
Comment by Lynne on November 30, 2010 at 10:28pm
Walker..you can order the video the day of PIR so you can wait yet...lol
Comment by Lynne on November 30, 2010 at 10:27pm
The countdown clock is correct...it's because it counts hours...so it is 21 - 24 hour days...and so many odd number of hours....lol...kind of confusing...
