Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I am having a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit for my girls it just feels off without him here giving me a hard time. I told the girls we would decorate Friday. I cannot wait for PIR and being able to pick up my phone and call him whenever. Does anyone know when they do Battlestations?

Comment by Lynne on November 30, 2010 at 9:13pm: gee walker...mean momma that you are...paying for your daughters trip home and to A-school...yep everyone here is really going to judge you as tears fill their eyes and someone in your division offers to take pictures and such...just make sure your daughter orders the DVD of PIR....

here is the thing y'all I am in a wheel chair and my son was part of Cardinal company..and they were sworn in at a Cardinal's game in St. Louis, had a picnic for all the families, a parade through St. Louis and I couldn't go because it was on a Friday and I couldn't find anyone to help me go...I spent the whole day crying...it wasn't anyone's fault and I felt like the worst mom in the world...haha...bet you wouldn't have through that of me...so don't feel bad...stuff happens...we are all in this together...doing the very best we can...and no one is going to judge anyone else...cause if they do...they will have to go through me...lol
