Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Ctown...a picture of the day usually comes out on Wednesdays but that one was great wasn't it....now those young men should get phone calls home I hope...so keep those phone close... for those of you on face book here is the link to that site...http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/NavyRecruitTrainingCommand Also a new video has just been put up on the site from ABC news there in Chicago at the VFW in case any of your recruits are there.

I was crying so hard when I first saw the picture of the day....knowing that N was somewhere in that crowd, wearing his uniform!!!! Oh my goodness! I was sad today because I still haven't received a phone call...but maybe they were just really busy having a nice day!

We org. thought J was going to A school in SD, then it changed to GL, then it went back to SD, and now it's are GL. Sunday I had received an e-mail confirmation from the airline that he bought a ticket from home to A school in SD. They can make their own itenerary for my husband... I'm so lost and I'm not going to believe anything about where he is going to A school until he graduates and it is final at that point. Waste of oxygen and emotion trying to figure out what's going on.
