Yeah, only because he cannot get his travel home straight. I even had to pull over to the side of the road, because he actually called my cell. He probably tried my work first. He did say the Walmart phone cards cost .35 cents per minute. And that he has already used two of them. He said they can buy them there 800 minutes for $10 or $20.

However, he said they will not be able to call home again until after battlestations. I hope they are not in trouble :(

Hi moms, I just got a call from my son in Div. 039. He said I definitely have to make his travel arrangements to come home after PIR, and they would make them for him to go to A school. He said I needed to email the itenerary to the email address on the grad packet, but I can't find it anwhere. Does anyone know where this is?

Also, for anyone else in this div, he said they will not get another call until after Battlestations. I don't know if they have to earn a call for tomorrow or this Saturday, but I wanted everyone to be forwarned and not be surprised if the phone does not ring tomorrow. Sorry moms :(

Yeah, I need to do the eyebrows to. My trip is up to $1300 so far. I thought about the coats, but why, if I am only going to wear it once. I figured I would just wear lots of layers.

Hi to all. I am having a bummer of a day. Practically every post on here makes me cry. I guess it's the thought of Thanksgiving coming up and our kids not being at home. I have so many grey hairs coming in, it's pathetic :(
At least it's only 4 weeks away. We are at the half way point.

I wanted to share a bit of insight. Back in March or May, a co-worker of mine was watching a public station here in CA, called PBS. Anyway, she saw a commercial for a documentary called Carrier. For all the newbie parents of soon to be sailors and for any of those parents who have sailors about to take a tour, I deeply recommend this 10 Hour series, all focused on the life aboard the US Nimitz. I am now watching these DVD's for the third time. It will definately bring out the sailor pride.

Lina, you can also go to Military.com. You have to sign up as other family member and create an account. I have a list of stuff I am waiting to buy. Fortunately, we also have a Army Surplus store within 2 miles from my house and they have all branches there :)

got my pack, finally. Now I can breathe a little easier. Hopefully we will all get calls in the morning. PS Jamie, I told Josh in his last letter to help Coty with his calling card.

Nope, no packet. Another day's wait.

Teresa congrats on the phone calls.

PS, you may want to take off your last name :(

Has anyone in this group rec'd a phone call in the last 10 minutes as out of area? I have had two, one yesterday and one tonight. They hang up, or I can't hear anything. It is driving me crazy.
