Molly - here in Louisiana, in many of our family Thanksgiving and Christmas pictures, we're wearing shorts. So, none of us are real familiar with really cold weather. If it ever gets in the 20's here, we think we're gonna freeze to death. Yesterday I bought my nine year old a "real coat" to wear for PIR!

Which brings me to PIR --- I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

Now Lynne you know he was just concerned LOL Besides, it's our God-given duty to worry about our kids.
I couldn't figure out how to delete the picture, so I just replaced it with Nate's fuzzy-faced little sister.

That first paycheck also has the $300.00 advance to the NEX taken out of it...so it really is pitiful...lol but it gets a little better...okay I am the cautionary person today...please consider taking your recruits first and/or last name out of your screen name and your recruit's picture off your screen pictures. Remember RDCs can and do read this site. You don't want to bring undo attention to your recruit...really..one mom in my PIR group didn't take my advice and found out her son was told my his wonderful RDC who meant this in a truly loving way I am sure..."your mommy was worrying about you today" so just saying....

Reading these comments brings a tear to my eye. How blessed we are to have children/family members who have chosen to serve our country.

I keep thinking that this time next year when our boys and girls are out in their uniforms, how people will be thanking them for serving. What an awsome thought!!!
