Julie, where is Jake going to A school?

He was sad to go and said he didn't know when he would get to see us again. He said he will miss us and home but he feels at home there with all the structure which is so different than he was bvefore he joined. I like that part.

chanmom, so glad. Mine is not ready to go back, so I think it is going to be hard on us all when we have to say goodbye, I know we are so fortunate to have this much time together, but it is going so fast and there just aren't enough hugs to be had,,,trying so hard to not be sad, but it's not working right now. Gotta suck it up and let go eventually...

chanmom, I can hear the heartache in your comment - I know how you feel. I still have a few days left with my sailor, but the time has flown by and I am desperate to stop it!

MEsailormom, no, don't see the tears stopping anytime soon...:/

Been struggling with the blues lately, can you tell?

I received the most special DVD from Moose Lodge in IL. Not only did they create the most special Tday for our Sailors they took pictures of the whole day and set it to music. They also sent the letters from the school children and the pictures the Sailors took. I have to say I cryed through the whole thing (will these tears ever stop), The world is truly full of love!!! Amazing group of people....

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and enjoyed the time with their sailors!!!  I feel so blessed to have mine home until 1-2.

Asmom- What a scary situation, It never even occured to me that this might happen.  So glad she arrived safely!!  Thanks for bringing it to our attention!

Mattsmom- I am SOO heartbroken for the loss of the young marine!!  Many prayers for all our sailors to get back safely!!
