Awwww, Lala...you are a sweetheart...I hope that you and your hubby have a wonderful time...you work so hard on these ribbons for all, and then the tragedy last week....it is time for relaxation! Enjoy!

This whole adopt a sailor thing makes me want to drive up there and cook a huge Thanksgiving dinner for a bunch of sailors.

It has been a very exciting day. I filled and shipped 15 goodie bags for the Sailors on the Harry S Truman (N4M project). It was fun shopping for all the goodies and it just makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside :-) And my sailor just found 15 packs of stickers that I use for the ribbons at AC Moore near her base and they honored my rain check from NC :-) And I just printed my tickets for me and my honey's date night tomorrow to go see Jeff Dunham :-) ....... After the very sad week we had last week it will be good to laugh. I hope everyone here had a great day and I hope you are getting letters and "good" phone calls. And just so you know, everyone who orders ribbons for PIR in December will get a FREE Navy Scrapbook embellishment with their ribbons. My way of wishing you all a very Merry Christmas :-)

I still cling to "no news is good news" and try not to jump to "I wonder if something is wrong". Boy this is a hard ride eh? I don't get letters till Thursday...will keep you posted.

Oh, ok, chanmomship. I never got anything from the Navy after the form letter when my son went through. In fact, I got no graduation info at all! Guess it just got lost...but the thing is....sometimes delays can happen at the very end of bc, right before BStations. If they haven't passed everything by BStations, then they can't go through....although most make it before their PIR date, some are held back. So it probably is just best to go ahead with the reservations.
Comment by Sherri_M on November 3, 2010 at 3:26pm
I have heard that....but most people go ahead and make ressies...you can (or should) be able to cancel a hotel ressie up to like 48 hours before hand...better safe to have one, than not....and at 4 weeks, while they are doing great...it's still the Battlestations they have to get through before anyone really knows they are graduating....
